I live in South Florida, and we are just getting

End of an Era: The Last Domain Gold Rush
 
Take Advantage of a Secret Market the
Pros Have Known About For Years!

Everyday, thousands of domain names expire due to non-payment
by the previous owner.  As many as 50,000 domains may become
available in a single day.  Right now, anyone can register
these domain names with their favorite registrar
for as little as $7.95.
 
Many of these domain names are already listed in Yahoo,
Dmoz and other search engines, giving them a high link popularity.  
We all know how much effort goes into establishing links
with other sites.  Generally, it takes about six months
to build a link popularity of 300.  Many expired domains
have a link popularity of 500 or more.  As the new owner
of the domain, you receive the traffic AND links that come with it.
 
The value of targeted traffic cannot be overstated. 
While pay-per-clicks, like Overture, are charging a minimum
of 5 cents per hit, and Yahoo charging $299 just to get listed,
targeted traffic has never been so expensive.  Receiving traffic
of this quality for free just by purchasing a domain for under
ten dollars is creating a feeding frenzy, but, the opportunity
is about to disappear.
 
Last month, ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names
and Numbers), working closely with Verisign, voted on and
approved a new system called WLS (Waiting List Service),
to be  implemented within the next 6 months.  As an expired
domain name drops, the domain will go to WLS, controlled by,
you guessed it, Verisign.  The original owner may be granted,
in effect, a right of first refusal, and the domain name
will not be available on the open market, as they are today. 
In order to even have the opportunity to purchase a domain name
that is already in use, you will have to pay Verisign's fee to
get on the waiting list for the domain(s) you're interested in. 
While no price has been disclosed, industry insiders estimate
it will be in the $40-$60 dollar range, and that does NOT
guarantee you will be able to purchase your desired domain name.
 
As Verisign attempts to monopolize yet another market,
now is the time to take advantage of the free market while
it still exists.  Since WLS is not expected to take effect
for several months, you can still register expired domain names
with any registrar.  When WLS is finally implemented,
you will be forced to use Verisign's system and pay hefty fees,
just for the OPPORTUNITY to buy an expired domain.
