Wanna hear a great story about my exciting weekend?
I'll try to make it quick, but you may just get a laugh
out of it, or in the least realize how GOOD your weekend was...
 
Had the BIG Yard Sale.  It was suppose to start at 8am.
People were banging on my door at 7:15am to bring stuff out.
I didn't even have time to get a second cup of coffee.
Got totally bombarded for 2 hours straight.  It was HOT
and HUMID, even at 8am in the morning.  Talk about
exhausting!  And 20 people at once yelling at you
was not making things easy. Not to mention my little
girl standing at the door screaming her head off for
an hour to come out.  She had to stay in with dad.  Good to say,
just about everything went.  I am not a millionaire,
but I got rid of alot of stuff and made a few bucks
in return. 
 
Then my friend shows up and drops her kids off so she
could run some errands.  It was a great help, cause both
my kids now had something to do. This is an hour after the
yard sale ended.  So, for 3 hours, I was entertaining 4 kids.
Of course, they just had to play on MY computer.  I went to
install a game for them that the little girl brought over.
Don't know what happening next, but there it was in front
of me, A BLANK DESKTOP.  System Tray would not boot, neither
would Explorer.  Just a not-so-beautiful desktop background.
I tried it all, and kept my business partner on the phone for
well over an hour.  Luckily my friend came by to pick up her
kids.  Now only 2 kids, and a down computer to contend with.
NOTHING worked.  Ended up doing a simple recovery. It worked.
NOW, one hour on the phone with Bellsouth to re-install my
Fast Access. 
 
So, around 10pm, going non-stop, my computer is up and running.
My house is in shambles, and I am ready to fall on my face.
 
Guess what?  As I sat at my computer, I hear this gushing of
water sound.  I turn around, and across the room it's my
air conditioning unit leaking and getting all backed up.
 
Do you think I had a full day???  Hope yours was a bit more
uneventful as mine.  I would trade the day in for a nice
relaxing one anytime.

along with everything else it takes to succeed online.

we can to build our business and make it

In order to continue building and
flourishing, we must constantly add new
features, services and products to our
business to entice our clients, who eagerly
wait to see what the next HOT ITEM is.
 
But what happens when you come to a road
block? When you are totally stumped and
thoughtless about what to do next.
 
What do you do when your creativity comes
to a halt and you have nothing else up your
sleeve to offer your potential clients and
continue to expand your business?
 
As we sit at our computer, totally oblivious
to new ideas, we refuse to admit that we have
come to a ROAD BLOCK.
 
WHAT NEXT?  HOW am I going to come up with
the next idea? 
 
You think writers block is bad?  Try getting
ROAD BLOCK!  We can sit around singing the
Road Block Blues and stare at our stand still
business, OR we can work our way out of this
road block rage.  The answer is this:
R-E-A-D!
 
R - read through ezines, and your competitions
websites. Gather information that may be of interest.
 
E- examine ads. See if their products and services
are offering anything original, eye-catching and different,
that may enhance your business.
 
A- accumulate all the information from any possibilities that
caught your eye and that may fit into your business.
 
D- Design your own creative ideas from the information you
gathered.
 

Whatever you do, do not copy anyone's ideas.  Use them
as a foundation to create your own unique product or service.
You can take another businesses ideas, gather
any other information you can find about it, and twist it around,
add some of your own blends to it, and Wha-La...your ON THE ROAD AGAIN!
 
This may not be as easy as it seems, but the ideas are out there.
We just have to find them.  So you can make a decision;
SIT AROUND SINGING THE ROAD BLOCK BLUES!

GET UP AND START SINGING..ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

Not to be confused with VR, which is an abbreviation for Video
Recorder. This is a gray box which sits unobtrusively under my
TV set. It looks harmless enough, until I have the impudence
to try and use it.
 
You see, I bought a VR which doesn't like to work for it's keep.
Like the other day when I pressed record just to test it out,
and it refused to switch itself off. Even when I removed the
plug from the power socket, and plugged it back in again, it
sneered at me and still kept recording.
 
I think the problem is that it hates men, even though I spent
10 minutes hurling insults at it. Then my wife calmly pressed
the same button as me, and the VR obeyed her.
 
I'm now looking around for a PCVR - that's Geek-Speak for a
Politically Correct Video Recorder.
