2.) BIZ-NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Hello OE Subscriber,
I hope you are enjoying each edition of
The OnLine Exchange Ezine.
A "Warm Welcome" to all our new subscribers.
As I read the newspaper yesterday morning,
I continued so in disbelief. When I read
about the 9th circuit court of Appeals ruling
The Pledge of Allegiance Unconstitutional,
I nearly fell off my chair. Now, so far,
this will NOT be affecting the state of Florida,
however, to hear that this could happen literally
blows my mind. Why?
I live in The United States of America. The land
of Freedom, The right to choose. Why should the
choice to recite the Pledge of Allegiance be taken
away from us? Now, I fully understand how some
religions may not believe in the pledge. That is ok.
I fully understand why atheist may not want to pledge.
That is ok. It is their right to choose whether or not
they should. But why take that right away from the
people who DO BELIEVE?
The Pledge of Allegiance was first
given full public recognition in 1892.
Under God was NOT in the Pledge of Allegiance. However,
in 1952, President Eisenhower changed that and added
Under God. People who DO NOT believe in this part
of the Pledge can always just NOT SAY IT. People who
DO NOT believe in pledging the flag for religious
purposes do not have to recite it. However, for decades,
schools, meetings such as boyscouts and girlscouts
and thousands of other organizations
have recited the Pledge of Allegiance before each meeting.
Should this right be taken away from them? OF COURSE NOT!
No one has ever been forced to recite the pledge. But
we do have the right to recite it with HONOR, if we so choose.
I don't think that a 3 judge panel has the right to take
that away from any of us.
What really gets me is that after the September 11th
tragedy, this is what is happening. Our courts are ruling
on what we have a right to say in the honor of our country.
Is this America? What about all currency? It says,
"In God We Trust". And don't forget about:
*The Declaration of Independence -
'endowed by their Creator' and
* The U.S. Constitution -
'Done...in the year of our Lord'
While I fully believe in the freedom of religion,
it's a shame that everything we stood for since
the founding of our country is now being challenged
in a court of law.
I was reading the RimDigest yesterday and found this
little heartfelt story. I would like to share it with you.
I guess you can say, this will "chalk-it-all-up":
THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-three students
filing into the already crowded auditorium.
With rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps,
they looked almost as grown up as they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and moms freely
brushed away tears.
This class would not pray during the commencements -not by
choice but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay
within the guidelines allowed by the ruling.
They gave inspirational and challenging speeches,
but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked
for blessings on the
graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but
they were routine... until the final speech received a
standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone.
He stood still and silent for just a moment,
and then he delivered his speech... an astounding SNEEZE!
The rest of the students rose immediately to their feet,
and in unison they said, "GOD BLESS YOU."
The audience exploded into applause.
The graduating class found a unique way to invoke God's
blessing on their future ...
with or without the court's approval.
Well, I think you get the hint on where I STAND. I stand
with everyone. I stand for the freedom to choose.
I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I stand for
everyone who wants to recite and the ones who don't,
because we have that CHOICE! And whether we choose
to recite it or not, we are ALL CONSTITUTIONAL!

A day after he shocked the nation by declaring the
Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional, a federal appeals
court judge in San Francisco put his ruling on hold.

I do apologize for this long editorial. In fact
the reason why I am stating what my opinion is on
this matter is because I would love to hear back

if people didn't have many viewpoints on it. I would

Man alive. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the twilight
zone.
There's a large thread in one of my favorite forums
about a new program. Most of the questions are about
how to get maximum spillover.
Spillover!
Well smack my wrist and call me shorty. I thought we
were marketers, small business owners, entrepreneurs.
Where are the men and women who take responsibility for
their own success?
Where are the shouts of "If it's to be, it's up to
me!"
Whatever happened to rolling up your sleeves, rolling
in the mud and getting sweaty.
I didn't hear anyone talking about the thrill of the
game. How they were so excited their blood was pumping.
Forget the free lunch.
Get some grit.
Stiffen your backbone.
Get out there and take some risks.
Birds of a feather may flock together, but the brave
eagle soars alone.
Find something that will put a spring in your step.
Something that makes you want to hop out of bed in the
morning and start slaying some dragons.
Get fired up.
Even little Tommy Turtle knows if he wants to move
forward, he has to stick his neck out.
Forget the free lunch and start sticking your neck
out. You may get hit on the chin a few times, but
you'll know you're alive.

TASKBAR FUN
Your taskbar is not stuck forever at the bottom of
your screen. You can move it to the top or either
side of your screen.
Simply place your mouse over an empty space
and grab it by clicking your left mouse button down
and holding it. Now, drag it to the left, right, or top
of your screen. (Remember to grab it on the actual
taskbar, and not your Quick Launch Bar area.)
You can also re-size your taskbar.
Hold your cursor over the edge of the taskbar until
it turns into a line with an arrow at each end. When
you see that double sided arrow, click your left
mouse button and hold it down while dragging the
edge of your taskbar up until it becomes the size
you want it.

FONTS
If you've ever had to choose a font, you know how long
it can take, going through every single one to find the
perfect font.
Here's a trick that will help move things along a little.
Click on START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL. Then,
double click on the FONTS folder.
Click VIEW | LIST FONTS BY SIMILARITY.
Now, just use the drop down box to choose the font
and Windows will tell you which other fonts are similar
to it.
