The Forgotten Internet Marketing Strategy!

There are so many internet marketing strategies to consider, that it's
easy
to overlook a powerful yet simple process that will increase sales on
your
website, and also offline. This strategy will work for you!
To be competitive, Webmasters sometimes feel the pressure to write
complicated descriptions about products or services on their websites.
It's easy to fall into a habit of padding an article or a product
description with excess words or "tech talk," for the sake of
content or to
sound complicated and knowledgeable.
The simpler your writing style the better as people with different
levels
of education will visit your site. The purpose of writing is to
communicate not confuse. When you write simply, more people will
understand what you are saying and you'll not offend your more
educated or intellectual readers. Simplicity does not mean sloppy or
second rate.
The following word/s in brackets sound better and are simpler:
Subsequent to (after), in excess of (more than), as a consequence
(because), in the absence of (without), in the event of (if), time as
well
as their financial resources (time and money).
Avoid jargon because general readers will not understand it and
technical terms usually require lengthy explanations.
"As a consequence of our companies expansion and the integration of
cable broadband and wireless technologies, very quickly we can transfer
large amounts of informative data to you in the event of you having any
unexpected emergencies coming from your clientele."
Some will understand this, but will the junior receptionist, the not so
savvy business person or the average man on the street? It's far too
complex and also too wordy. This is better and simpler:
"Our company has expanded and now uses fast broadband internet
access to serve you better. Large amounts of information can quickly be
sent to you for your clients unexpected emergencies."
Much easier to understand isn't it? You may be technically minded but
consider those visitors to your website who aren't.
The meaning of "broadband" will not be understood by everyone.
But
it's been clarified by including the words, "fast, internet,
access."
Everyone on the net wants and understands fast internet access, which
explains the more complex, "broadband." Sometimes a more
complex
word like "broadband" needs to be included in product or
service
descriptions, so add words that help explain the meaning.
Years ago the word "internet" needed lengthy explanations. But
now it
stands alone as every educated person knows what it's about. The term
"broadband," will eventually be self explanatory.
Apply these principles and keep your writing techniques simple so that
every visitor to your site can understand what your products and
services
are all about.
