1. Ensure that your headline stands out.
* Capitalize or SHOUT your headline
* Insert quotes around your headline
2. Eliminate filler words in your headline.
* Use only vivid emotional words
* Don't use words like (to, it, was, where, etc.)
* Keep it short, sweet and to the point.
3. Determine the purpose of your ad before design.
* This helps you to focus your headline and copy
* Are you after leads or sales?
4. Target your headline by using very specific benefits.
* Be specific to eliminate non-targeted responses
* Use your body copy to further qualify
5. Design your ad from a product benefits list.
* Review your product and list its' emotion benefits
* Convert the list to single words or phrases
6. Test your headline using a TWOLINER Ad
* Include your headline and your URL only
* Place your two liner, track the results
7. Study headlines in newspapers, magazines and ezines
* Write down ads that get your attention, study them.
* Buy magazines that are related to your target market
and read the ads, headlines and sales letters.
Use
these as a base to construct your own copy.
8. Send your ad copy to friends and associates.
* Get their opinion of your ad
* Use this info to restructure your ad
9. Track your ad response results.
* Never, never place ads without tracking the results
