HOW TO DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE FOR SUCCESS

Let me take you back a few years when I first started
life as an Internet Marketer. Upon encountering my first
experience with a site that actually sells products on
the Internet, sparks sparked and cogs turned in my
mind on how I could replicate the same procedure and
start developing my own products and services on the 'Net.

This was the turning point that would change my
life forever. I quit my part-time job the very same
week as I knew that the Internet was the way to go and
I just had to become a part of it. Pound signs were in
my eyes (not dollar signs, as I'm British you see)
and my work from that point on would be to concentrate
on learning everything I could with this new and
fascinating discovering.

Being wet behind the ears at this time and not really
having a clue what was going on, I bravely entered the
world of Internet Marketing with wide eyes and an
open mind, not realizing what I was getting myself into.

I'm sure some of you are at the exact same point in
your lives' right now. You've seen the potential for
the Internet, you've heard the stories of success that
have been told a thousand times over. Now you want
to concentrate on something yourself. Your own product
or service. Your own online marketing venture. Your
own creation.

Well, congratulations. Step one has been reached.
But it's where you go from here that will make a
whole truck-load of difference.

Let me give you the blunt truth. Internet Marketing
is not easy. It's a very time-consuming and bumpy
journey. There are mistakes to be made and lessons
to be learnt. The myth of 'build it and they will
come' doesn't apply in this virtual world. Instead,
the correct phrase is 'work hard and you will achieve'.

The purpose of this article is to give you an insight
on developing the right frame of mind and attitude
needed before venturing into this hard, yet very
rewarding and exciting business environment.

Believe me, I'm speaking from experience with the
advice I'm preaching. It's only recently when I
finally learned to put the pieces together and realize
EXACTLY what I did wrong over the years.

Here are the things I learned .....

The Internet is still very much in it's infancy. Although
profits in ranges of billions of dollars are being
made every year online, no-one has really found out
the exact in's and out's of online marketing.
Even the 'gurus' are learning something new every day.
What you'll need to learn isn't taught in any school
or college. It really is that new.

So in reality, you're venturing into a realm with
no official rules on 'what' exactly you need to be
doing. It took me over two years to find out what
it is that I'm supposed to be doing.

Look before you leap. Learn everything you can
about Internet Marketing. Work like crazy is the
best way to put it.

Self-Motivation and Dedication

SM & D are the absolute top-dogs of success.
The common denominator of my marketing
success would have to be put down to the
fact that I always maintain a strong sense
of motivation and dedication.

If you take a look at ANY success story
and grasp the one element of similarity
between them, you'll notice that virtually EVERY
self-made successful person has this one super-
important object of success in their mind.

The ever-important BURNING DESIRE OF SUCCESS.

I tell you now without a word of a lie that
this is the absolute most important thing
you could ever have. If you've got the white-hot
desire to succeed and you'd do anything to
reach your goal WITHOUT even considering for
one single millisecond the thought of
quitting, then you're miles ahead of the rest.

Burning Desire + Dedication = GUARANTEED SUCCESS

You CAN and WILL succeed

I'm telling you, you CAN and WILL succeed.
This goes with anything in your life, not just
Internet Marketing. It's all about the frame
of mind that counts.

Age, location, ethnic origin, gender and any
other individuality have absolutely no part
in your success.

Owning a legitimate and successful

things you can ever do. It's not just about
the money, it's the fact that you get to converse
with people all around the world who become
your friends. You also have the freedom of
a lifestyle that you could only ever dream of.

HOW TO SUCCEED WITH YOUR WEBSITE

There are many variables that determine how successful you are with
your Web site or affiliate program. However, we have found some
common ingredients that contribute to success
(not in any particular order):

1. Your Web Site must have a purpose or focus - why is it there? Is
it serving a useful need? A site that provides *relevant* information,
products or services gets a good start.

2. Many sites exist simply to put up 5 or 10 banners per page trying
to make a quick buck. They don't. Visitors leave the site before the
page loads. A good site focuses on serving its readers needs. Let
readers provide you with feedback. This way, our readers help us
improve our site all the time.

3. Design is important - that means if you can get your information
across without 20k fancy graphics, don't worry about the graphics.
Ease of navigation is vital - visitors come to your site for a
purpose - and they want to locate the relevant information quickly.
You might only get 3 or 4 mouse clicks to deliver what your reader
wants. If you fail, he or she goes elsewhere.

4. If you are selling a product or service, this should be obvious
from your Front Page - like a Buy Button or Link. If you sell more
than 2 or 3 items, an Index to the products is essential. Readers
can then rapidly select what they want.

5. "Content is King" - if a product complements your content, readers
are more likely to find it interesting. Provide relevant links,
descriptions or reviews wherever possible.

You need to select reputable programs - and top products or services.

6. Regular updates - both via your web site and newsletters.

7. Web Site Promotion - people need to know your site exists. Submit
your pages to the top search engines; newsletters and ezines are excellent -
you
are reading one!; exchange links with relevant Web sites; advertising
your site is important. You have to spend money to make money.

8. We constantly ask the following questions about our site:
If this wasn't our site, would we find it very useful on a regular
basis; would we recommend it to our friends; would we suggest any
improvements; what do we like about the site; what do we dislike.
And More questions. Our readers give us excellent feedback.
